HARVEST ROAD COMES TO WINE COUNTRY

Leigh Wyckoff of Napa Valley’s Wine Country Music is happy to announce his signing with new record label Harvest Road Music. Based in San Luis Obispo, the new label’s first project is a series of CD releases titled “Sounds of the Wine Country,” to be distributed world wide at wineries, gift shops, and anywhere food and wine can be found. The CDs consist of collections of songs by some of the west coast’s most exciting new artists. Each new album will contain one of Wyckoff’s songs. The first volume, titled “Uncorked- Sounds of the Wine Country”, was released in January and features the title track from Leigh’s new “Emerald Mountain” release. Volume two will be titled “Spanish Dreams” and will feature that song from Wyckoff’s first jazz release “Moonlight Cafe”.

Harvest Road Music was founded by fellow guitarist Randy Rigby. A music industry veteran, Rigby has created, produced and marketed over 200 albums throughout his career, with albums that have generated over $100 million in revenues in conjunction with companies such as Sony Music, Time/Warner, Vineyard Music Group and many others.

With wineries becoming increasingly popular gathering places for cultural expression and venues for live entertainment, choosing the right music is vital to creating a pleasing atmosphere, says Harvest Road Marketing Director Diane Helbert. “Our goal is to create mood music for your next dinner party, wine tasting event, or anytime you seek a soothing but soulful atmosphere. We want to become known as “The Sound of the Wine Country.”

As for Leigh, he is delighted to be a part of the new label and the “Sounds of the Wine Country” project. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to share my music with people on a much larger scale, and yet still be able to maintain my musical identity and purpose, which has always been to bring peace and happiness into people’s lives through music.”
